MFNS partnered with a Food and Beverage production site that commercially prepares food items found in fast food restaurants to grocery store freezer sections. In the process of food production, the site discharges significant amounts of produced FOG (fat, oil, and grease) water out to the local municipality. With an insufficient coagulation system in place as a means of primary treatment they are regularly fined by the municipality (10+ times annually) for excessive discharge. MFNS provided media for onsite tests at different stages of the produced water process (raw FOG water, water post coagulation pits) and was able to reduce FOG content below the actionable limit for discharge to the municipality.
